ST. CLOUD - The Brainerd Blue Thunder managed just four hits in the seven-inning second game of a Northwoods League doubleheader Thursday and lost 5-1 to the St. Cloud River Bats at Faber Field.
Matt Fanelli was 2-for-3 for St. Cloud.
Winning pitcher Rashad Tucker went five innings, giving up one run on four hits to pick up his second win.
Trey Lucas doubled for Brainerd.
Blue Thunder starter Devon Ramirez took the loss. In four innings he gave up three hits but just one earned run, walked three and struck out four.

Brainerd collected just four hits against St. Cloud's Kurtis Frymier, who pitched a complete game with six strikeouts and allowed just four hits in a 3-0 victory.
Dan Betteridge, Kevin Johnson and Brian Hernandez were all 2-for-4 for the River Bats. Adam Weisenburger was 2-for-3.
Kris Jiggitts went 6 2/3 innings and suffered his fifth loss in eight decisions. He allowed 11 hits, three earned runs and struck out seven.
The game was technically the River Bats' home opener. The May 30 game between the teams was suspended in the bottom of the first due to rain.
