To our Dispatch readers:

In Thursday's Up North Autos section of the Brainerd Dispatch, we inadvertently placed incorrect telephone numbers in several auto dealer ads. These phone numbers, and the businesses to which they connected, are not associated in any way with those dealerships.

At least one of those numbers referenced offensive material and I wish to apologize to any reader who may have been offended when making the call. The Dispatch makes great efforts to be sure the material it publishes is accurate, but this was an unfortunate case of human error. And I wish to emphasize that the affected auto dealers had no hand in these errors; the fault lies with us.

Further, I would like to apologize to those dealers affected by these errors. Even though this was a matter of human error on our part I know it has caused them great concern.
