Baxter police

INFORMATION - A man on the 4000 block of Briarwood Drive reported Monday he sold a vehicle to his son but had to take it back because of lack of payments. The man said he was worried his son may damage the vehicle to get items out of it.

DRIVING COMPLAINT - Responded to a disturbance Saturday at 10:04 p.m. at Glory Road and Elder Drive between two motorists, one of whom was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.

ARREST - Arrested a 26-year-old man at 12:36 a.m. Saturday for felony possession of stolen property after an officer observed him riding on a suspected stolen bicycle on the 7800 block of Excelsior Road.

PUBLIC ASSIST - Received a report at 6:44 p.m. Friday from a woman on the 10000 block of Norway Drive of a missing juvenile that had not been heard from for about three hours. The juvenile was located at his new girlfriend's house and forgot to call home.

PROPERTY DAMAGE - Received a report Friday that the men's changing room door at Whipple Beach had been kicked in.

THEFTS - Carolyn Nygard on Sunday reported the theft of two credit cards and $120 from her purse at Sharing Bread soup kitchen, 923 Oak St.

Clarissa Wipf, 500 block of South 11th Street, Friday reported her laptop computer stolen.

Colton Corry, 400 block of College Drive, Friday reported a theft from his vehicle.

Robert Lange, 700 block of West College Drive, Friday reported the theft of stereo equipment from his vehicle.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY - Observed a man sitting in a vehicle at 4:52 a.m. Sunday at the Brainerd Public Library, 416 S. Fifth St. The officer made contact with and identified the man, who had a laptop computer and said he was there using the Wi-Fi service from the library.

Received a report at 6:46 p.m. Friday of three young girls mooning people on the 300 block of Buffalo Hills Lane. An officer checked the area but was unable to locate suspects.

Received a report at 11:39 a.m. Friday of kids throwing apples at vehicles at Seventh Avenue Northeast and F Street. An officer located the kids, who said they were not throwing apples but rather were getting cars to run the apples over to get the seeds out. The parents of the children were advised of the felonious activity.

Received a call at 4:52 a.m. Sunday from a man on the 400 block of C Street who reported a woman was loudly looking for a cat in the alley. A Crow Wing County sheriff's deputy located the woman and advised her to look for her cat at a different time.

PROPERTY DAMAGE - Gary West, 600 block of Front Street, Saturday reported a glass display case broken.

CRASH - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 6:47 p.m. Saturday at North Ninth and Juniper streets. Both drivers were cited for no proof of insurance.

PUBLIC ASSIST - Provided a ride home to a man and his intoxicated female friend at 1:41 a.m. Saturday after the woman had fallen in a large mud puddle at South Eighth and Front streets.

BURGLARY - It was reported Friday that UBC, 401 S. Eighth St., had been broken into and a computer stolen.

ARREST - An officer located a stolen vehicle at 1:50 p.m. Friday on the 700 block of Brian Lane and arrested a 14-year-old juvenile for driving a stolen vehicle and driving without a license. The vehicle was reported stolen at 12:50 a.m. Friday by Mandy Gifford, 600 block of Tamarac Street.

Crow Wing sheriff

CRASHES - Received a report at 1:03 p.m. Sunday of a vehicle that was backed out of a driveway on the 25000 block of Crow Wing County Road 133 in Deerwood and down a hill into a lake. The vehicle tipped on its side and the driver was cut out of the vehicle's seat belt by a neighbor. The vehicle was towed out of the lake and the Deerwood Fire Department contained and soaked up a gas leak.

PROPERTY DAMAGE - Melissa Collier, 10000 block of Robin Street, Sunday reported someone pulled up three trees in her yard and threw rocks around.

THEFT - Patrick Hopf, 14000 block of Pine Cone Lane, Saturday reported the theft of two wakeboards and a life vest from his cabin.

It was reported a wallet was stolen Friday from an unlocked hotel room at Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge, 25216 Tame Fish Lake Road.

Heidi Cain, 8000 block of Mogensen Shores Road, Friday reported the theft of an air compressor.
