John B. Kline
SPRING PARK - John B. Kline, age 90, of Spring Park, formerly of LeSueur and Crosslake, Minn., passed away suddenly Aug. 3, 2009.
Graduate of University of Minnesota. Retired after 31 years with Green Giant. Owned two H and R Block franchises in LeSueur and Gaylord, Minn. Known as the Piano Man and attended MacPhail School of Music. Army veteran of WWII, receiving Silver Star Medal, Purple Heart with three Oak Leaf Clusters and EAME Ribbon with five Bronze Stars. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Grace Kline; and brother R. Neil. Survived by wife of 62 years, Betty Joy; children, John H. (Barbara), Ronald P. (Lisa), James N. (Shannon), Donald R. (Susan), Daniel J. (Margaret); 10 grandchildren, Kaia, Kandice, Lindsey, Joshua, Luke, Taylor, Lillian, Alexandra, Samantha and Juliette; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. at Presbyterian Homes on Lake Minnetonka, 4501 Shoreline Drive, Spring Park, Minn. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Mission Benevolence at Presbyterian Homes on Lake Minnetonka. Private interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery at later date. Arrangements are with Cremation Society of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
