Mike Owens of Brainerd finished with a two-day total of 166 at Minnesota's Golf Association's Junior Championships at Forest Hills Tuesday. Owens carded an 81 Monday and an 85 Tuesday.

The heads of the Crabapple and Registration Committee for the 1968 county fair are Miss Mary Tornstrom, Miss Marie Adair and Miss Eula Michael. Orders will be taken for flowering crabapple trees at the fair this year.

An estimated 100 boys and girls, 4-H club members throughout the county, will take part in the Crow Wing County Fair by camping at the fairgrounds for four full days.

Lester Boyd and his Brainerd All-Stars bowed to the John M. Bye Clothing Company's city league second-half champions by 9-5 in a well played game.

The small frame building on southwest corner of Quince and South Fifth Streets was destroyed by fire Wednesday evening. There was a large crowd in attendance for many supposed the brewery was in danger.
