Adam E. Hamilton
Adam Edward Hamilton passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, following a courageous battle with cancer. Adam taught his family and friends about courage, strength and humor as he dealt with every challenge these last five months. Adam was born Oct. 13, 1977, in Brainerd and enjoyed growing up on the north shore of Pelican Lake. He graduated from Apple Valley High School and attended the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Business and Augsburg College in Minneapolis.
Adam has worked several years in the mortgage industry at GMAC and most recently worked with Express Scripts as a program manager. His position at Express Scripts was held open for him during his illness in the hope he could return.
Adam enthusiastically participated in hockey, softball and numerous other sports throughout the years.
Adam will be greatly missed by his loved ones including his lifetime partner, Joel Mugge and family, of Minneapolis; parents, Bob Hamilton, of Pelican Lake, and Kathy Morgan, of Paris, Texas; his brother, Robert (Amy), of Elk River; brother, Steve (Sara); nieces, RaeAnn and Adria; and nephew, James, of Maple Grove.
We invite all of you to join us for a memorial service and celebration of Adam's life to be held at the Hovertsen Chapel at Augsburg College on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 1 p.m.
Memorials may be sent to North Memorial Residential Hospice, Brooklyn Center, Minn., or American Cancer Society.
