O'Grady, Kvasnicka on All-Stars NORTHWOODS LEAGUE
ROCHESTER - Dennis O'Grady and Mike Kvasnicka of the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers have been named to the Northwoods League Postseason All-Star Team.
O'Grady, a sophomore right-handed pitcher from Duke, went 6-1 for the Lunkers with a 1.58 ERA, which was fourth-lowest in the league. In 12 games (11 starts), he pitched two complete games with one shutout. In 74 innings he allowed 49 hits and 16 walks with 64 strikeouts.
Kvasnicka, a sophomore from Minnesota, was selected as the designated hitter. In 48 games he batted .314, seventh highest in the league, with eight doubles, two home runs and 26 RBIs.
Rochester shortstop Corey Jones was named the league's most valuable player and Wisconsin's Bryce Butt was named pitcher of the year.
