Doty, transportation panel eye bridge progress
Rep. Al Doty, DFL-Royalton, a member of the House Transportation Finance Committee, took part in a joint hearing of the House and Senate Transportation Committees for an overview of progress on the Interstate 35W bridge project.
The committee heard testimony from Minnesota Department of Transportation officials regarding the design and construction of the bridge and how the agency would pay for the bridge.
The committee plans to meet again next week. Its findings are expected to be part of the discussions leading to a probable special legislative session later this year.
