The Washington High School class of 1958 will meet for a summer lunch at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bar Harbor in Lake Shore.
Senior Center looking for donations
The Lakes Area Senior Activity Center is looking for donations of slightly used items for a garage sale. They will not accept computers, exercise equipment, clothing or TVs. Donations will be accepted until Sept. 1. The garage sale will be Sept. 11-12. Proceeds benefit the senior center, 803 Kingwood St., Brainerd.

Brainerd American Legion Auxiliary luncheon
The Brainerd American Legion Auxiliary will have a casserole luncheon at 11 a.m. Thursday at the American Legion Post, 708 Front St. Cost: $5. For take-out orders, call 829-2249.
Senior dances
Senior dances will be 1-4 p.m. Tuesday at Motley with music by The Drifters; and from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday at Waukenabo with music by Mr. Morgan.
BNSF Vets meeting
The BNSF breakfast meeting will be 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Northwind Grille in Brainerd. Discussion will be the upcoming dinner.
American Sewing Guild potluck
All former Brainerd members are invited to the American Sewing Guild potluck at noon Thursday at the Northland Arboretum. Food will be furnished.

VFW Friday night dinner
Dee Imgrund and crew will be serving Swiss steak from 5:30-7 p.m. or until gone Friday at the VFW. Cost: $8.
Bridgerama results
The final summer Bridgerama playoff and luncheon was recently hosted at the Legacy at Cragun's. Sixty women and men were divided into five groups and awards went to first and second in each group and first and second overall.
First-place winners were Elsie Verdeja and Barb Vielma, Ardis Hjerpe and Burniece Couch, Sandy Weber and Lane Weber, Liz Carlson and Janet Boner, JoAnn Eha and Joyce Peterson. Second-place winners were Laurel Jarvin and Lois Volkmuth, Pat Nentl and Don Huff, Lorraine Northhagen and Ginny Kersey, Marlene MacArthur and Joanne Sufka, Pat Johnson and Judy Johnson. Overall first winners were JoAnn Eha and Joyce Peterson. Second overall winners were Sandy Weber and Lane Weber.
