Warriors swamp Rocori
The Brainerd Warrior girls' swimming and diving team was impressive in a 115-62 Central Lakes Conference victory against Rocori on Wednesday.
Sam Smith, Katy Etterman, and Tiffany Etterman all scored more than 180 points on their dives to sweep the top three diving spots.
"Once again our divers scored huge points for us," Warriors coach Dan Anderson said.
Individual Brainerd winners included Sarah Dens, who claimed the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events, Alex Erickson in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly, Siri Smith in the 100 backstroke and freshman Stephanie Hansen won the 200 freestyle.
"Sarah had an outstanding meet," Anderson said. "Siri had an outstanding swim in the 100 back. She's a great competitor.
"I was happy for Stephanie winning the 200 free. She's a freshman in only her second varsity meet so that had to feel good for her."
Dens and Siri Smith also teamed up with Della Gramer and Erickson to win the 200 medley relay by nearly seven seconds.
"The 200 medley relay was a nice time for this early in the season," Anderson said. "It was much faster than Monday."
Other Warrior winners were Laura Goll in the 500 free and Della Gramer in the 100 breaststroke.
