Gene 'Ghost' White
Gene "Ghost" Howard White, age 64, resident of Brainerd, went to ride free in heaven Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, after a long and courageous health battle.
Gene was born Nov. 20, 1944, in Bigfork, Minn., to Howard White and Grace Kinn. He had a passion for life and loved his family and friends with all of his heart. He enjoyed Harleys, hot rods, cribbage, pool, Twins baseball and classic rock-and-roll music. Our U.S. military always held a special place in his heart. Gene's greatest legacy will be his sense of humor and determination. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
Preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Raymond, Verna and Leon.
Survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Tammy (Mark) Lloyd, of Brainerd, Tracy White, of Cloquet; his "Little Angels on Earth" grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan and Andrea Lloyd, of Brainerd; sister, June White, of Grand Rapids; and many special friends.
Celebration of Gene's life to be held 6 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, with a visitation from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. memorial service. Burial with military honors to be held at a later date in Bigfork, Minn.
Arrangements are with the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
