ALEXANDRIA - Grant Bell scored two goals as the Little Falls Flyers defeated Alexandria 2-1 on Tuesday in Central Lakes Conference play.
Casey Schaeffel and Patrick Hecht each had assists for the Flyers.
Defensively, led by Noah Hecht, Little Falls managed to hold Alexandria scoreless until the final 10 minutes. Alexandria was attempting to mount a comeback, aided by several penalty kicks in the final minutes, but Little Falls held on.
"The guys played tough," Flyers coach Julie Bell said, "I really admire their persistence and effort to hold onto the win."
