Pats rope Rangers
PEQUOT LAKES - Angela Villella of Pequot Lakes extended her singles record to 13-1 as the Pequot Lakes Patriots defeated the Crosby-Ironton Rangers 6-1 in Mid-State Conference play Thursday.

Pequot's Megan Lenz and Sarah Thomas collected their 12th wins of the season as they won their singles matches.

The No. 2 doubles team of Kaitlyn Risnes-Heather Robinson secured the only win for C-I.

Park Rapids 2

PARK RAPIDS - Staples-Motley earned a sweep in singles and a 5-2 victory over Park Rapids in Mid-State Conference action Thursday.

Abby Edin started from the No. 1 spot with a 6-1, 6-0 win. Skye Coughlin, Andrea Koskiniemi and Kelly Hagenson each followed with singles victories.

The Cardinals then got a win from the team of Hallie Denning-Savanna Hill.

LITTLE FALLS - The Little Falls Flyers picked up their first conference win Thursday by defeating St. Cloud Apollo 4-3 in Central Lakes Conference play.

Singles winners for Little Falls included Sammi Koester and Bailey LaCoursiere. Raina Rodewald teamed up with Kaitlyn Emerson and Holly Kampa with Molly Koester for the Flyers' doubles wins.

AITKIN - The Aitkin Gobblers raised their season record to 9-1 with a 5-2 victory over Grand Rapids-Greenway on Thursday.

Kelsey Klucas won her match in the No. 1 spot over Sarah Stejskal 6-2, 6-3. Alice Browning, and Tori Sundholm also scored singles wins for the Gobblers.

In doubles the No. 1 team of Allie Carlson-Kaitlyn Davies won in three sets. Megan Ritter-Alyssa Carlson closed out the afternoon with a doubles victory.

WADENA - Wadena-Deer Creek lost just two sets and one match as it easily defeated Detroit Lakes 6-1 Thursday.

Katie Anderson at No. 1 singles, Elizabeth Quincer at No. 2 and Hanna Larson at No. 4 all won their matches in straight sets.

The Wolverines also swept all three doubles matches as the teams of No. 1 Jessica Rinkel-Andrea Jensen, No. 2 Rachel Richter-Sam Eickhoff, and No. 3 Megan Schimdt-Emily Ament all won in straight sets.
