Surprise anniversary gift prompts call to the law
It wasn't the type of call law enforcement dispatchers receive every day.
Christine Horton, a Daggett Brook Township resident, on Tuesday reported she found a new John Deere lawn mower beneath a tarp on her property.
She later called back to cancel the call because she learned the lawn mower was supposed to be a surprise for her anniversary.
Some would say at least it wasn't a new iron or vacuum cleaner.
