100 years of happy campers
Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert alumni from around the globe gathered to celebrate the camps' 100th anniversary.

From newer campers to alumni from the 1920s, 580 former campers and counselors relived their camp experience over the Labor Day weekend.

Activities such as sailing, archery, wall climbing, trips to the bog, swimming, camp crafts and horseback riding were on the agenda Saturday, and the evening culminated with the 100th Anniversary Gala Celebration and Dance and fireworks.

There have been plenty of changes over the years, such as indoor plumbing and electricity at the camps. But as much as it had changed, it was still the camp they remembered, with the same values and a mission to help youth develop skills that will help them throughout their life.

"Many of my core beliefs were rooted right here. It's where I developed the confidence to try new things," said former camper-turned-counselor Steve Barlow, who attended the camp in the 1950s.
