In the midst of the unknown about the fate of downtown Brainerd, there is no mystery about one persistent problem. Parking problems are being caused in part by employees and downtown stores.

Ross Campbell, 10-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Campbell slowly sank an inflated tube into the water, cut a hole in the tube, permitting the water to enter the tube. Soon after, when he retained his tube from the lake, he found two bullheads on the inside.
100 years ago (1908)
Mrs. F.S. Parker is having a basement and steam heat put into the Fannie Smith residence on North Sixth Street and will make the residence one of the most up to date in the city.
