Council accepts plat for golf course property BAXTER CITY COUNCIL Staff Writer BAXTER -- The final plat for the former Pine Meadows Golf Course development has been accepted by the city of Baxter.
The Baxter City Council Tuesday unanimously approved the final plat for Baxter Town Center LLC, which unlike other plats features only outlots that aren't buildable.
In approving the final plat, the council set a condition that although city code requires a written development agreement before the approval of the final plat, that requirement would be waived in this case because outlots cannot be developed without being platted. However, once one of the outlots is platted a development agreement will be required for the entire property.
Baxter Town Center LLC representatives have said that their group intends to develop the entire site, though it may contract with other developers to construct the buildings.
