Clyde R. Bye
Clyde Richard (Dick) Bye, 85, Brainerd, passed on to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009. He married Vivian Blettner on May 24, 1947, in Minneapolis. He was an electrician and an inventor. He was a member of the electric union. He loved flying and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He was also involved with beekeeping for many years.
Dick is survived by his wife, Vivian; and four children, daughter, Karen J. (Michael) Smith, sons, Lyle (Karen L.) Bye, Daniel (Jean) Bye, David (Jane) Bye; 27 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde O. and Grace Bye, Onamia.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at Park United Methodist Church on North Sixth Street in Brainerd. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Onamia at 4 p.m. followed by a gathering at the United Methodist Church of Onamia.
Memorials are preferred to the Ossipee Community Church.
Arrangements are with the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
