CLC student senate election, homecoming plans announced
STAPLES - Erich Heppner of Warroad was elected president of the Staples campus student senate at Central Lakes College for 2007-08. He is a sophomore in heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
Others elected were Katherine Trewatha, of White, S.D., a freshman in photographic imaging technology, as vice president; Tracy Korman, of Alexandria, a sophomore in photographic imaging technology, as secretary; and Jeremiah Henke, of Staples, a sophomore in heavy equipment operation and maintenance, as treasurer.
Collin Beachy is the student activities coordinator at CLC.
The Brainerd campus senate will be electing a vice president, treasurer and publicist in the near future. J.D. Berns of Brainerd is president.
Homecoming Week will be observed Oct. 1-6 on the Brainerd campus. Events that are being planned include a food drive for the campus food shelf throughout the week, X-Box Game Zone Tuesday, club tables and a picnic lunch and bowling night Wednesday, lawn games Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 and a poker night, pep fest and Mr. and Mrs. Raider coronation on Oct. 5.
The Raider football team will host Fond du Lac in the homecoming game at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at Findorff Field across from campus.
