HOMECOMING PARADE
If parade floats could be considered prophetic then the Alexandria Cardinals looked to be in for nothing but pain when they battled against the Brainerd Warriors football team later on Saturday. The homecoming parade was filled with birds getting plucked, beaten, chased, squished or taken away on a stretcher and the parade route, after all was said and done, was littered with fake red feathers that had been lost by the various cardinal incarnations along the way.

Some of the littler Just For Kix dancers rode on the float while the rest of them danced their way along the homecoming parade route Saturday in Brainerd.

According to the floats, the Cardinals would soon need a coroner.
