15th annual Dezarae Hope Harvest Festival and Hayride
The Food for the Holidays 15th annual Dezarae Hope Harvest Festival and Hayride will be 4-8 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Harvest Festival on the farm. From Crosby take Highway 6 north to Crow Wing County Road 30 west, take a left and go about two miles to River Road. Take a right on River Road and go two miles to 18007 River Road.
Bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food shelf.
Free BBQ and drinks will be provided. Bring a side dish to share.
This is a family event so there will be no alcohol permitted on the farm at anytime.

Ray's Promenaders to square dance
Ray's Promenaders square dance club will dance from 8-10 p.m. Friday at the Franklin Arts Center cafeteria with Royce Nelson calling. Richard, Winona and Ann Dosh will be hosting the pumpkin goodies night. A free beginning square dance lesson will be 7-9 p.m. Monday. For more information, call 829-7409.
Senior safety workshop set
A senior safety workshop sponsored by Brainerd For a Lifetime and the Lakes Area Senior Activity Center will be from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at the senior center in Brainerd.
The workshop will focus on fire safety, medical rescue and senior related scams.
Workshop is free and open to the public. Tours of safety vehicles will be available from 12-12:30 p.m.
Oberstar, Ward to address senior issues
Rep. Jim Oberstar, D-Minn., and Rep. John Ward, DFL-Brainerd, will address and answer questions on senior issues from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Society-Woodland in Brainerd.
