Pawlenty to be at Madden's retreat for service members' families
Gov. Tim Pawlenty will speak at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon 2009 Minnesota Gold Star Retreat at Madden's on Gull Lake.
The retreat will be in Wilson Bay dining room at 11266 Pine Beach peninsula. It is hosted by the Minnesota Army National Guard's Beyond the Yellow Ribbon program and the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors. The mission of the retreat is to provide support and assistance to Minnesota families of service members experiencing bereavement due to the loss of a service member.
The governor will return to the Brainerd area at 12:30 p.m. Monday when he announces an appointment to the Ninth Judicial District trial court bench in Crow Wing County in Courtroom No.1 at Crow Wing County Judicial Center.
