Adviser nomination: Kensey is an extremely dedicated musician, the Symphonic Band adviser said. She has been selected for many musical honors including St. Olaf and Gustavus honor bands as well as Minnesota All-State Band.
What instrument do you play and why: B-flat clarinet. I saw it in the Fourth of July parade when I was in fifth grade. Before that I wanted to play the recorder, but when I saw the clarinet I wanted to play that instead because it is bigger and prettier.

What was it like to perform in the honor bands: It was really great to play with all these musicians who are as dedicated to the music as you are. It was a lot of fun.
What would you like to do: I want to be a musician. My dream job would be to play in an orchestra and do solos. I'd love to go to Oberlin College or the Manhattan School of Music.
Artist most admired: Benny Goodman.
Memorable fine arts achievement: Being named to the honor band in ninth and 10th grade, my first time.
Best concert ever attended: The Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Last movie you saw in the theater: Where the Wild Things Are.

Favorite dessert: Key lime pie.
