James P. Schuette
James P. Schuette, age 68, of Brainerd, passed away early Wednesday morning, Oct. 21, 2009, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. By his own request there will be no services at this time.
James Perry Schuette was born on July 8, 1941, in Hendricks, Minn., the son of Paul and Annie (Miller) Schuette. He grew up and attended high school in Hendricks. From there he went on to Detroit Lakes Vo-Tech for small engine repair and then motorcycle repair. On April 15, 1972, he was united in marriage to Karen Ochocki in Ivanhoe, Minn. They were able to share over 37 years of marriage together. Jim was self-employed during his working years, doing small engine repair and carpentry work. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. Later on he loved to go to garage sales, auctions and visiting with people. Socializing with friends and family was one of his most enjoyable pastimes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Annie; a brother, Marlin; and an infant sister. Jim will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Karen, of Brainerd; children, Rochelle (Michael) Hanson, of Lakeville, Minn., and James R. Schuette, of Duluth, Minn.; a very special granddaughter, Lily; sister, Janice (Arnold) Mathison, of Hendricks; nieces, nephews and friends; and granddogs, Keefer Buds, Donny, Chewie and Gizmo.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
