CROSSLAKE - RuthAnn Lindstrom, a real estate agent with Crosslake Edina Realty, recently completed a Certified New Home Specialist course approved for credit by the Minnesota Department of Commerce and recognized by the National Association of Realtors.
The course is designed to give real estate professionals marketing and specialized sales techniques to work more effectively with clients and customers in the new-home construction industry.
Whitehead joins staff
Wayne Whitehead recently joined Positive Realty as a real estate agent.
Whitehead has been a real estate agent in the Brainerd lakes area since 1984, specializing in residential and lakeshore properties.
Prior to relocating to the lakes area, Whitehead, a Navy veteran, served on several boards and the city council in southern Minnesota.
Edina Realty collects Coats for Kids
Edina real estate agents recently purchased new coats for the Coats for Kids Program for children in the Brainerd lakes area.
Crystal Cleaners and Brainerd Lakes Broadcasting co-sponsor the annual Coats for Kids event that provides coats to Kinship Partners for children in need. Coats will be distributed Saturday and Sunday in Brainerd at the former Book World location in the Westgate Mall.
Kinship Partners participants may collect needed coats from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and children accompanied by an adult may pick up coats from 1-4 p.m. both days.
Weichert, Realtors-Tower Properties rally at council event
The ownership and management staff of Weichert, Realtors-Tower Properties, along with 17 sales associates, recently attended the Weichert Fall Fest and Sales Rally in Brooklyn Park.
The 15-member offices throughout the Weichert Minnesota and Western Wisconsin Broker Council heard David Knox, one of the nation's most in-demand real estate seminar hosts and guest speakers, who addressed the changing real estate market.
The gathering is one of several regular meetings and events created by Weichert Real Estates Affiliates, Inc.
Habitat looking for volunteers for its fifth home
Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity will begin building the fifth home of 2009 on Nov. 9. The build site is located at 7535 Red Oak Drive, Pequot Lakes.
Shifts for the first week of framing are 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1-4:30 p.m. There is a need for 15-25 volunteers for each shift. Volunteers can sign up individually or as a group. No experience is required. Volunteers will receive instruction and supervision by LAHFH construction manager, Larry Johannessohn.
