Bolduc said it appeared the boy and his friend were attempting to cross Jackson Street on their bikes when the boy was struck by a truck that had turned off from Northwest Fourth Street onto Jackson Street. The truck was traveling at a low speed at the time of the crash.

Bolduc said the boy was alert and conscious following the accident.

The accident occurred at 4:34 p.m. Monday.
