Darlene E. Glenn
Darlene Elizabeth Glenn, 70, died Nov. 1, 2009, at her home.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, Minn., with Pastor Genelle Netland officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home.
Darlene was born in St. Paul to Matt and Laurraine VanHeel on Feb. 9, 1939. She grew up in St. Paul and was a 1957 graduate of Monroe High School. She married Harold Glenn on June 16, 1962. They lived in St. Paul until 1976 at which time they moved to Brainerd, Minn. Darlene and her husband were self-employed working in the RV business. Upon retirement in 2001, they moved to Bemidji, Minn. She was a bowler and an avid reader who enjoyed murder mysteries. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Julie (Dewey) Larson, of Bemidji, Minn., and Jim (Sondra) Glenn, of St. Cloud, Minn.; two sisters, Marlys St. Martin, of St. Paul, and Jackie (Don) Finger, of Woodbury, Minn.; nine grandchildren, Leah, Erin, Allie, Nate, Max, Jack and Joey Larson and Kallen and Abby Glenn; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold.
