W-DC advances with win over Perham Area high school volleyball
PARK RAPIDS - Courtney Volkman had 11 kills and 25 set assists to lead the No. 1-seeded Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines past No. 7 seeded Perham in the South Subsection 8-2A championship game Tuesday night.
With the victory the Wolverines move on to play Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton for the Section 8-2A championship.
Wadena-Deer Creek earned a clean sweep, winning 25-19, 27-25, and 25-14. Brittney Noon had 10 kills and six digs. Rachel Craig also contributed 12 blocks, and Avery Jackson had 12 digs for the Wolverines.

NEVIS - The No. 3 seeded Pillager Huskies saw their season come to an end on Tuesday night with a 3 game loss to No. 1 seeded Nevis in the East Subsection 5-1A tournament on Tuesday night. The Huskies fell by the scores of 25-15, 25-18, and 25-13.
