Darlene A. Yager
NISSWA - Darlene Ann Yager, 69, resident of Nisswa, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at her home. Darlene was born Feb. 22, 1941, to Glen and Margaret (Shepherd) Schwendeman in Washington state and was raised in Brainerd by Clarence and Beth Shepherd, maternal grandparents. She graduated from Washington High School in Brainerd. She and her husband, Jim, owned Jim's Plumbing and Heating in Nisswa. She is a member of the Order of Eastern Star and active member of Grace United Methodist Church, Pequot Lakes.
Survivors include son, Joseph; and daughter, Marianne, of Nisswa; her sisters, Evelyn Muller, of St. Cloud, Minn., Donna Johnson, of Lewisville, Texas, Sheila Kissel, of Wenatchee, Wash., and brother, Eugene Williams, of Rochester, Wash. She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.
Funeral service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Pequot Lakes with Pastor Dianne Ciesluk officiating on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and one hour prior to the funeral service.
