"Tips for the choir" would be shouted out, producing smiles every time the bell would ring as a tip was given at the Elks food booth at the Crow Wing County Fair.
Brainerd Elks Lodge No. 615 Past Exalted Ruler Peter Johnson presented a check for $3,100 to Brainerd High School Choir Director Brian Stubbs at intermission of the fall choir concert at Tornstrom Auditorium. Choir members were wait staff at the food booth, working toward their spring choir trip. Also, BHS choir students, parents and lodge members were dinner guests of Lodge No. 615's Elk member and choir appreciation event.
