Nisswa will offer the following pond hockey programs this winter.
Participants are urged to register by Dec. 1 so schedules can be made.
Little Huskies
Learn to Skate, Ages 5-7
Must be 5 by Dec. 31. Meets Tuesdays at 5:15 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m. through February. Skaters will learn the art of a push and glide skating stride in a forward motion.
Skates, stick and helmet are required. Elbow pads and shin guards are recommended. Seven-year-old skaters with previous hockey experience may be allowed to register for Ice Pups.
A parent meeting will be 9:30 a.m. Dec. 12 at Nisswa park hockey rink. Fee is $32.
Ice Pups, Ice Dogs
This program is designed to further educate the player with rules, positioning and game strategies needed in hockey to become a competitive but fun player.
Required equipment: Stick, skates, shin guards, elbow pads, helmet with mask and mouth guard.
Ice Pups
Ages 8-10, must be 8 by Dec. 31.
Practices are Mondays or Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. at Nisswa Park. Games are Saturdays at 10 or 11 a.m. in Baxter, Brainerd or Nisswa.
A parent meeting will be 9:50 a.m. Dec. 12 at Nisswa park hockey rink. Schedules will be provided at this meeting. Fee is $42.
Ice Dogs
Ages 11-15, must be 11 by Dec. 31. Practices are Mondays at 7:30 p.m. at Nisswa Park.
Games are played at 10 or 11 a.m. Saturdays at Baxter, Brainerd or Nisswa.
A parent meeting will be 10:15 a.m. Dec. 12 at Nisswa park hockey rink. Schedules will be provided at this meeting. Fee is $42.
Sea Lions
Ages 16-18, must be 16 by Dec. 31. Games are Tuesdays at 4:30, 6:30 or 7:30 p.m. at Bane Park in Brainerd.

4 on 4
Ages 16-18. You may register players, but each team must register through Brainerd. Cost is $100 per team.
Each team is allowed eight players on a roster. An adult supervisor must be assigned to each team.
