James E. Rehberger
BAXTER - James E. Rehberger, 73, of Baxter, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at his home. Friends are welcome to gather Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5-7 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Following the visitation on Thursday evening James will be cremated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd. Friends are welcome one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at Baxter City Cemetery.
James was born June 4, 1936, in St. Paul, the son of Raymond and Marion (Hoen) Rehberger. James and his family moved to Brainerd when he was 6 months old. He was married to Garnet Borders in 1955. James was a heavy equipment mechanic and owned his own business for over 35 years. He had a passion for guns, trapshooting, hunting and fishing. A passion he enjoyed passing down to his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also liked his dogs - Labs and springers. James enjoyed reading and working on engines.
James will be missed by his wife of 54 years, Garnet; his children, John (JoAnn), Bradley, Daniel, Peggy and Joan (fiance Bill); his grandchildren, Elsie, Abby, Cody, Bret, Jerra, Jimmy, Kristen, Michael, Kathryn, Ryan, Lindsey, Brittney and Murray; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Gerry and Joan; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
