MUSIC SHORTS
CLC choirs to perform Thursday
The Central Lakes College fall choir concert, "Colorful Dimensions," will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Chalberg Theatre on the Brainerd campus.

Admission is free.

The concert will feature gospel, blues, showtunes, Appalachian folk and Celtic.

CLC band concert set Tuesday

The Central Lakes College Jazz and Community Band concert, "Fall, Fun and Fantasies," will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Chalberg Theatre on the Brainerd campus.

Admission is $3 for the public and free for CLC students and those 12 and younger.

The concert will feature the premiere performance of "New Hope," composed by Brainerd's Jeff Liebsch; jazz classics; and music from the "Star Wars" movies.

Nye releases children's album

WALKER - Walker musician Paul Nye has released his fourth original album, the children's CD "Don't Lick a Flagpole When It's Cold."

He will perform with a band at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley High School auditorium in Walker.

Admission is one food-shelf item.

Eder to perform in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS - Singer Linda Eder, a 1979 Brainerd High School graduate, will perform a "Home for Christmas" concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at the State Theatre in Minneapolis.
