Fire heavily damaged a Breezy Point home Thursday morning.
The Pequot Lakes Fire Department responded to the fire report at 10 a.m. at the home of Jeffrey and Lynette Tiedemann on the 29000 block of Belgian Drive.
When firefighters arrived about 50 percent of the house was on fire, Pequot Lakes Fire Chief Tom Nelson said.

The fire damaged living quarters that had been converted from a garage and the upstairs portion of the split-level home. The basement had smoke and water damage, Nelson said.
"I'd have to say it's probably a total loss," Nelson said.
While the cause of the fire was undetermined Thursday afternoon, Nelson said it was believed the fire started in the converted living quarters based on the amount of damage to the room.
