BUSINESS NOTES LeClair joins Adventure advertising
Josh LeClair recently joined Adventure advertising agency in Brainerd to address commercial photography growth, the company announced.
LeClair is a recent graduate from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor of fine arts degree in photography. As photography assistant, LeClair will provide photography production and digital support for both on-location and in-studio photography.
Adventure provides all-encompassing creative and marketing services to leading regional and national companies.
Athletic trainer join Lakewood Health System
STAPLES - Natalie Linn joined Lakewood Health System in Staples as a certified athletic trainer as the newest member of the rehabilitation department.
Linn will be carrying out the athletic training duties for the Staples-Motley School District through Lakewood Health System's sports medicine program. Coverage will include all home varsity events and all practices. Linn has an athletic training office in the high school to offer injury prevention and care for students. She will be working closely with coaches, parents and physicians in providing care for athletes.
Linn finished her bachelor's degree in athletic training at North Dakota State University. During the summers of 2008 and 2009, Linn worked as the summer camp athletic trainer at NDSU. She also was chosen as the graduate assistant athletic trainer for NDSU football and women's soccer teams as an undergraduate student.
Psychologist joins Lakewood Health System
STAPLES - Jay T. McNamara, Ph.D., licensed psychologist, recently joined Lakewood Health System of Staples.
McNamara will see patients Tuesday through Thursday at the Staples Clinic.
McNamara comes to Lakewood Health System from Gary L. Fischler and Associates in Minneapolis. He has spent more than 30 years practicing psychology in a number of capacities, including individual and group psychotherapy, family and marital therapy, psychological assessments and formulation of treatment plans.
McNamara graduated from the University of Missouri in St. Louis with a doctorate in clinical psychology after receiving a bachelor's in psychology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, Minnesota Psychological Association and formerly the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital Psychology Section. As an avid fisherman, McNamara has become a popular name in the competitive fishing arena. For several years, he has written sports psychology articles for competitive fishermen at FLWoutdoors.com and Bassedge.com.

Mille Lacs Band donates $52,889 in October
ONAMIA - In October, the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe donated $52,889 in both monetary and in-kind contributions to a variety of nonprofit organizations and other charitable causes.
Every month, the band contributes to community programs in Minnesota and nationwide.
The Mille Lacs Band donated $5,000 to the Mille Lacs Area Health Foundation for a cardiac monitoring system. Additionally, the Mille Lacs Band donated $1,000 to the Hearing and Service Dogs of Minnesota for dogs that assist people with autism.
Other notable contributions included to the Pine County Sheriff Patrol, the Onamia Area Early Childhood Coalition and the Aitkin Jaycees.
Giving back to the community has always been an important mission of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. We are fortunate to have the capacity to contribute to so many beneficial organizations and causes, Deron Dunkley, commissioner of corporate affairs for the Mille Lacs Band, said in a news release.
The Band donated to organizations and causes in Aitkin, Anoka, Barron, Benton, Blue Earth, Brown, Burnett, Carlton, Carver, Cass, Chippewa, Chisago, Cottonwood, Crow Wing, Dakota, Dodge, Douglas, Goodhue, Grant, Hennepin, Isanti, Itasca, Kandiyohi, Kannabec, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Olmsted, Pierce, Pine, Polk, Ramsey, Rice, Sherburne, St. Croix, St. Louis, Stearns, Todd, Washburn, Washington, and Wright counties.
