Arden Hemsworth recently began producing quilts full time in her husband's plumbing shop in Longville. She learned the craft 20 years ago and can put together as many as one quilt a day.

The Brainerd State Hospital Citizen's Advisory Committee made the most significant recommendation of its three-month life yesterday, proposing a plan to place control of the State Hospital System in the hands of a local policy board.

Volunteer workers are repairing and dressing dozens of dolls for patients of the Brainerd State School and Hospital. Their goal is to have 400 dolls ready by Christmas.

Joe Koering, Sanitary Market Ace, put together three 200 counts Tuesday evening as he finished strong for a 674 three game total in Classic League rolling.

R.F.B. Cote, camp director and owner of Camp Lincoln, announces a plan to build a log cabin this winter two stories high. The new building is to be used for camp office, camp store and offices, etc.

The Barbers Union gave a "feed" last night at the Ransford barber shop and the boys do say it was a swell affair. The coffee-drinking contest was won by Gene Wood, although Pete Cardle was a close second with seven cups to his credit.
