Car crashes into Baxter store
Staff Writer A Ford Taurus crashed into Cash Wise Liquor in Baxter shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday, damaging the liquor store but not injuring the driver, Baxter Police reported.
The driver, Irene Oleary, 68, Brainerd, won't be cited for the crash, Baxter Assistant Police Chief Shane Ahrendt said. Police reports indicate Oleary was attempting to park and hit the gas pedal instead of the break.
"It was just an accident," Ahrendt said.
The crash took out the front three windows of the store, said manager Mark Dockendorf, but the only damage on the inside was to two bottles. Despite the crash the store was open Thursday.

"It could have been a lot worse. Luckily no one was in the way, no one got hurt and the loss to product was minimal," Dockendorf said. "We'll be back to normal (Friday).
The crash did not affect the sense of humor for Dockendorf or his employees.
"Our line on it has been people are in such a hurry for the great prices at Cash Wise," he said with a laugh Thursday afternoon.
