Santa to arrive via fire truck Saturday
The Old Fashioned Downtown Holiday Celebration in Brainerd begins at 10:45 a.m. Saturday with the arrival of Santa on a fire truck.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., children will receive a goody bag, while supplies last, and they may have their picture taken with Santa for $1. Horse-drawn trolley rides will be available through a decorated historic downtown. Other activities include registering to win a 16-pound turkey from Schaefer's Foods; voting for the favorite window display; craft making at Bear Stop; a Christmas Doll Tea at the Ivy Room; book signing and readings with authors, including Winston Borden at CatTales; free ring cleaning and inspections by E.L. Menk jewelers; tournaments at Citadel Games.
For more information, contact Emily Roragen, Brainerd Main Street coordinator, at 822-7126 or e-mail to eroragen@explorebrainerdlakes.com.
The holiday event is made possible through the Brainerd Main Street program of the Brainerd Lakes Chamber, Brainerd Restoration, the city of Brainerd and Brainerd Community Action and the donations of many individuals, businesses and organizations.
