League to discuss school finance reform

The League of Women Voters Brainerd Lakes Area will meet at noon Thursday at the Brainerd Public Library.

A potluck lunch will begin at 11 a.m.

Mary Cecconi will discuss the New Minnesota Miracle-School Finance Reform. Cecconi joined Parents United for Public Schools' statewide effort in November 2003.

Her political acumen, contacts in the education field and understanding of education policy issues have helped across the state.
