Sandra L. Olander
CROSBY - Sandra Lee Olander, age 57, of Crosby, died Dec. 17, 2008, at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. She was born on Jan. 20, 1951, in Grand Rapids, Minn., to Merle and Audrey (Herrick) Olander. She married Gary Reynolds. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Jayme and Damon, prior to their divorce.

She worked at the Navapache Hospital in Show Low, Ariz., before returning to Crosby where she was employed as a nurse's aide at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, until her illness forced her into an early retirement. In retirement Sandy successfully completed her college degree at CLC in Brainerd and received the "Warrior Award" in 2006. She was a sports enthusiast, a daughter, sister, mom and grandma. When she wasn't able to play softball, pitch horseshoes or throw darts, so she supported her grandchildren, nieces and nephews in their respective activities or watched a ball game, tennis or golf on TV - not hockey.

Sandy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elda (Foote) and Olaf Olander, Phyllis (Herrick) and Don LaLonde and Earl Herrick Sr.; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members.

She is survived by her parents, Merle and Audrey Olander, Crosby; siblings, Clint and Lynda (Olander) Converse, Browerville, Larry and Deb (Runde) Olander, Crosby, Kevin Olander and Michael Renteria, LaHabra Heights, Calif., Chris and Karen (Gronholm) Olander, Crosby; daughter, Jayme Reynolds, Deerwood; son and daughter-in-law, Damon and Teri (Overocker) Reynolds, Deerwood; three grandchildren, Jordan, Dominic and Carter Reynolds; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Crosby. Burial will be Mission Township Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday at the church.
