BHS falls
BOYS' HOCKEY
ST. PAUL - Matt Straate scored three goals and dished out two assists and Bryan Tabery tallied two goals to lead Wayzata past the Brainerd Warriors 7-1 in the opening round of the Silver Division of the Schwan Cup at Aldrich Arena.

Wayzata outshot Brainerd 40-10 and scored two power play goals.

Brainerd's goal came on the power play from Bren Smith in the second period off assists from Colby Ring and Michael Rinio.

Reid Mimmack stopped 33 shots for the Warriors, who fall to 2-4 and play Duluth East in the second round of the Schwan Cup.
