Pequot puts up 80 in victory over Nevis
AREA GIRLS' BASKETBALL
WALKER - Mindy Howard finished with 19 points, including nine from behind the arc, to lead the Pequot Lakes Patriots past Nevis 80-25 at the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Tournament Monday.

Emily Lueck had 17 points and Kylie Beltz added 12 for the Patriots.

PIERZ - Sam Stanfield racked up 19 points for the Crosby-Ironton Rangers in a 58-55 win over the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder during the opening round of the Pierz Holiday Tournament Monday.

C-I's Katie Swanhorst and Jana Anderson added 12 point a piece and Christina Mapson had a team-high 19 rebounds.

Brigetta Berg added 17 points for the Wolverines, who will face Sauk Centre in the Holiday Tournament Championship Tuesday.

PIERZ - Pierz's Gabrielle Boser and Kaari Jensen had 14 points each in a 54-39 loss to the Hinkley-Finlayson Jaguars Monday in the Pierz Tournament.

The Jaguars' Amber Dvorak's, who has a scholarship to play at the University of Minnesota next season, was the difference of the game as she tallied a triple-double with 17 points, 15 rebonds and 13 blocks.
