Morrison sheriff:  CITIZEN CONES — A caller reported at 2:20 p.m. Saturday that campers at a property near her residence placed orange cones in the middle of the road on the 27000 block of Cedar Road in Cushing. A deputy spoke with one of the campers, who stated he placed the cones there to slow traffic down. The man was advised it was unlawful to place objects in the road. Illustration

Little Falls police:  HERDING DOGS—Report at 7:04 p.m. June 4 of a vehicle parked in the turn lane. The subject was attempting to corral a stray dog. The officer and the subject attempted to call animal control with no success. The officer then tried to catch the dog but was unable to get near it. It ran off toward the bowling alley and was well off the road, so there was no further hazard. Illustration

Little Falls police:  SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY—At 3:49 p.m., March 25, on the 1700 block of Fifth Avenue Southeast, a complainant reported a male subject waving a rake and yelling at her as she passed by his residence. The man said he was upset with vehicles traveling at high rates of speed past his home. Illustration

Baxter police:  SUSPICIOUS—Report at 7 p.m. Tuesday of a neighbor watching the complainant's residence with binoculars on the 5000 block of Brentwood Road. Officer made contact and subject said he was watching birds and squirrels. He was advised to look in a different direction to avoid further issues.

Little Falls police:  SCAM—Report at 2:09 p.m. Feb. 4 of complainant receiving a "Publisher's Clearing House" call where she had won prizes and needed to send money in order to claim them. She initially sent money but realized it was a scam and was able to stop the transaction. Illustration
