One of the the Minnesota Good Food Access Program funded proposals, Pierz Foods in Pierz, will purchase coolers and shelves to increase store capacity, with a focus on Minnesota-grown products. It was a full house at the Hilltop Regional Kitchen's Ribbon Cutting/Grand Opening Ceremony in Eagle Bend on Nov 15, 2017. The kitchen project received Innovation Funding in 2016 and 2017. An estimated 100,000 meals per year will be produced for senior citizens throughout central Minnesota as a result of the new kitchen. Submitted photo

During a phone interview, Tyson said area children are utilizing the new equipment with gusto and the community regard the playground with a mixture of pride and heightened vigilance.
