With just a fresh coat of ice, an angler steps outside his portable fish house on the Crow Wing River southwest of Pillager Tuesday. With several bodies of water remaining open, people are advised to stay off the ice until cold weather assures a greater ice thickness. The DNR recommends 4 inches of ice for foot traffic.
