Brainerd police:  SUSPICIOUS—Report at 7:32 p.m. Tuesday of a suspicious male walking behind a business on the 1000 block of South Eighth Street. Officers determined it was Charter Communications employee checking for buried lines.

Nisswa police:  ARRESTS—A 36-year-old man was arrested at 11:10 p.m. Sunday during an agency assist with a traffic stop on Interlachen Road and Miller Lane in Lake Shore. He was booked for third-degree drug possession, three counts of fifth-degree possession of controlled substances, possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and possessing a firearm.

Crosby police: DISTURBANCE—Report Thursday of a disturbance involving one person who was screaming and had a possible head wound. An officer responded to the hospital where the victim was reported to be and another officer responded to the location where the incident occurred on the 200 block of Fourth Street Northwest. Officers learned the incident was an accident involving the release of a bungee cord into the victim's face.

Crosslake police:  EMS — Report at 7:28 p.m. Aug. 2 of a possible domestic in Crosslake. The caller could hear a woman yelling for help. While en route, two young boys were yelling for help on the lake. One boy swam to shore to report the other boy caught a fish hook in the foot. The hook was removed by family members. A black bear digs into garbage Sunday night at the home of Crosslake Police Chief Bob Hartman. Hartman said multiple callers reported bear activity in Crosslake recently and advised residents to bring garbage and bird feeders in at night. Submitted by Chief Bob Hartman
