Lakes Area Drug Investigation Division agents arrested two suspects from the Twin Cities area Wednesday who were connected with the sale of large amounts of methamphetamine in Crow Wing County.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office arrested 37-year-old Charles Weber (left) of Milaca Friday, and he was charged with second-degree burglary Tuesday in Crow Wing County District Court in Brainerd. The other suspect, Owen Swenson (right), 32, Pine River, was arrested Dec. 24 and later charged in Crow Wing County with 14 counts of mail theft. Swenson posted bail Dec. 30 and was released from jail. The Cass County Sheriff's Office Monday issued a felony warrant for Swenson.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office arrested Charles Alvin Weber (left), 37, for felony second-degree burglary; Nichole Evelyn Petersen (right), 31, for felony fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance; and a 32-year-old man, a 36-year-old man and a 35-year-old man were booked in Crow Wing County Jail for violating conditions of their probation.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office responded Friday to a report of shots fired at a home in Swanville Township. Pequot Lakes Police Chief Eric Klang said police were making a traffic stop just after 7 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Crow Wing County Road 29 and West Twin Lake in Pequot Lakes, when the vehicle fled with two male suspects. Klang said the vehicle crashed into a tree shortly after the pursuit and then a 41-year-old man and a 38-year-old man fled on foot into a swampy, wooded area. Illustration
