Winter outlook may mean milder temperatures as El Nino forms

Icicles form on reeds overhanging Rice Lake Thursday, Nov. 8, at Lum Park in Brainerd. Snowfall, temperatures in the low 20s and blustery conditions are making it feel like winter. The normal high for this time of year is 43 degrees. The chance for snow showers will continue through the weekend and on Veterans Day, the National Weather Service reported.
