On March 14 I returned to my beloved Nisswa home after a 25-day, out-of-state emotional journey to tend to my father's end stage Alzheimer's disease, hospice and eventual passing. On March 17, I read the senior section of the Dispatch. I was happy to see the "Is our community dementia friendly?" piece and the section underneath about the baby boomers. Born in 1964, I am the end of the baby boomers. My father retired in 2007 after a long career as a train engineer and an over-the-road truck driver.
