After graduating high school in 2004, I attended Central Lakes College in Staples, MN for 2 years where I got a diploma in Communication Art and Design. I then transfered up to Bemidji State University in, you guessed it, Bemidji, MN. In the spring of 2009, I graduated from BSU. Then in the fall of 2009 I got a job at Echo Publishing, a sister company to the Brainerd Dispatch.

The Pillager Huskies earned their first conference championship since 1990 as they claimed the North Star East Conference title with a 6-0 record this fall. It’s Pillager’s first conference championship as an 11-man team. Pillager’s Lowell Scearcy was named conference coach of the year. Matt Doss, Travis Richards, Adam Manlick, Jeff Flickinger and Ben Ramsey earned All-North Star Conference honors. Cole Hunstad and Adam Obermiller received all-conference honorable mention.
